Coach Caruthers

All of the Waco Sports Academy programs have been developed by Coach LeBaron Caruthers. Coach Caruthers is a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach, one of only 60 in the world. Through 30+ years of experience, he has “demonstrated a mastery of the knowledge, skill, and expertise” (MSCC executive board of directors) of speed, strength, and conditioning for all athletes of all ages. He has been board certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach Association since 2002.

1995: Strength & Conditioning Professional of the Year for the SEC

Member of Alabama’s 1996 SEC Baseball Champion’s coaching staff which went to the College World Series.

June 1998-March 2002:

Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Baylor University

Member of Baylor’s 2000 Big XII Baseball Champions coaching staff.

Member of Baylor’s 2001 Big XII Men’s Golf Champions coaching staff.

May, 2002: Formed Championship Speed & Strength, Inc.

May 8, 2002 Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association.

Summer, 2002:

Produced Speed Clinics at the Woodway Family Center.

November, 2002:

Opened the doors to Championship Speed & Strength, Inc. at 7005 Woodway Drive, Waco, Texas.

January, 2006:

Founded the Waco Sports Academy with Championship Speed & Strength along with Joe Beard, President of Westdale Asset Management and Kyle Rose, President of K A Associates.

May 11, 2006:

Coach Caruthers is awarded the title of “Mastery Strength and Conditioning Coach” by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
